CNC Machinist
JOB SUMMARY
The CNC Machine Operator follows/study blue prints in order to determine dimensions of
finished products. This Operator will analyze and measure all controls for machine factors such
as speed and coolant flow and identify all malfunctions in machines and ensure all timely repair
of the same. This Operator will also follow all control instructions on the machine in order to
start operations and operate all measuring tools and equipment with help of veneers and
gauges.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Studying blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, and sample parts to determine
dimensions and tolerances of finished products
Determining the sequence of machining operations, and setup requirements of a job
Calculating, measuring, and marking the dimensions and reference points on material as
guides for the machining
Setting the controls and programs to regulate CNC machines
Use the machines to create a finished piece, while monitoring it for malfunctions and
out-of-tolerance machining and then adjusting the program as required.
Perform routine maintenance on the machines under their control
And confer with engineers, programmers, and supervisors to maintain the assembly and
production of the finished items
REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
Developed verbal communication skills
Excellent judgment and attention to detail
Good hand-eye coordination
Familiarity with standard industry programming technology
Must be skilled with precision equipment

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
3+ years experience in the field
Experience with problem solving and identifying when and why a machine is not at a
peak performance
Must encompass a keen attention to detail
Previous supply management experience

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory
skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and
ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity,
including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard. The employee frequently is required
to sit, reach with hands and arms.
