The Company's ability to process reclaimed lumber and source wood from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified forests allows Genesis to support global management of critical wood resources. Environmentally concerned customers have specified over 80,000 board feet of reclaimed and FSC certified lumber for recent projects. Genesis welcomes other "green" building and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) projects.
Genesis also takes recycling of our process waste very seriously. Lumber waste is ground and recycled by the local agricultural industry for soil rejuvenation, mushroom beds and livestock bedding.
